Jeep Cherokee Sport Stroller, Impulse Reviews

Review by J. Brady:
After owning it for two weeks, and navigating it through several airports, I am very happy with this stroller. I did a lot of research before purchasing it. I wanted a stroller that was smaller and easier to manage than the (used) Graco LiteRider that I had been using, but still a little more than just a standard umbrella stroller. This stroller fit the bill. (I’ve been using this stroller with my 10 month old who is 22 lbs and 28 inches).PROS:

*Rolls very smoothly

*Navigates and turns very easily. I can easily push it with only one hand (when necessary) on indoor surfaces and sidewalks. Sorry, haven’t tried it outdoors yet, other than sidewalks, so I can’t comment there.

*Light enough to lift and move one-handed without difficulty.

*TRUE one-handed fold. You really CAN fold it, then lift it, with only one hand, and it is very easy and natural after just a little “practice”

*Reclines. Not to a fully horizontal position, but to a do-able napping position for my 10 month old.

*Relatively substantial (for a stroller this size/weight) basket underneath (I put a mid-size diaper bag and my purse in it).

*Trays for parent and child.

*Stands upright on its own after folding

*Nice sun canopy with “window”

CONS:

*It lacks any sort of “locking mechanism” to keep it from opening from the folded position. BUT NOTE: I don’t see this being a problem in most daily use situations. Generally I probably would not even want to “lock” it, because, not being locked, it is very easy to open one handed. It does not come open in the car, and it stands upright on its own if you set it on a flat surface (at home, etc.). However, I was worried about it on airplanes. My solution: Zip Ties. ALSO NOTE: Oddly, the picture of the stoller on this site, as well as the product box, shows a red piece on the side that one would think is a locking mechanism, however, it did not exist on the product in any of the boxes at the retailer I purchased mine from. I haven’t gotten answers from the manufacturer yet.

*The childs cup holder is not big enough for most standard sippy cups. However, at this price, I can live with that. It is GREAT for cereal o’s.

*It would be nice if it would recline a little bit further, and I don’t really see why they can’t arrange that. But, as I said, it is a do-able napping position, so at this price… give and take.

Neutral:

*The stroller is very comfortable for me to push. I am 5’4″. It is probably fine for most, but I can imagine that if you are quite tall, it might be a little short.

*I read several reviews complaining about the “slippery” fabric. I guess it is a little bit slick, but for me and my 10-month old, this has not caused any problems or issues. Just make sure your child is buckled.

*The “cargo bags” seems kind of silly and useless to me. They are small and flimsy, and I just took them off to simplify. But who knows, maybe you would find a use for them. Maybe I will, too, someday. Maybe.

*I think the fabric colors are a bit darker than they appear in the picture. The main color is a darker slightly greenish khaki. I, personally, like the look of it. It is very neutral (and gender neutral as well).

Review by R. Cardwell:
I had my doubts about this stroller because of the low price. However, after reading all the reviews and specifications, I dedided to give it a try even though I am 6′ tall. The Amazon ordering experience was top notch. When the stroller arrived it came in the original box from the manufacturer, pictures and all. I found the assembly to be very easy, the basic instructions gave me all the direction I needed, and the stroller was up and running in about 15 minutes.I decided to test my primary worry, the height. When unfolded, the stroller handles came to just about 38 inches. I was able to stand comfortably and easily push the stroller without straining my back. Now, of course if you stand completely straight up (at 6′), you will begin to feel yourself reaching that maximum safe comfort zone. Still though, I found it acceptable. The stroller is considerably light, and has a quality appearance. The Jeep branding certainly adds to the overall flavor. I was suprised at the overall high quality impression this stroller gave me. It did not look cheap at all. In fact, I would never have guessed it was so affordable just looking at it!

There is some marginal shock absorbing ability in the front wheels, which is sufficient for normal use. When folded, I found that it fit very easily into the trunk of my mid size Pontiac Grand Am. It folds very well and with little effort (after pushing the folding button). It stands upright and does not unfold by itself (unless the wheels are not in the correct position). It does recline to a reasonable level, and contains storage bags on either side. I would not recommend using this stroller for jogging or operating off road.

Pros:

- LightWeight

- Nice Colors

- Jeep Branding

- Shock Absorbing Front Wheels

- Easy Folding and Unfolding (can be done with one hand)

- Great Price!!

- High quality “look and feel”

- Parent Tray and Child Tray

- It is inexpensive enough that you could probably also buy a second “other” stroller for a different need.

Cons:

- No Locking mechanism (Hardly a complaint though, given all the other good attributes)

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, and would definitely recommend it! Great for those with a busy and active lifestyle.

Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller Reviews

Review by God and Family First:
I have an infant and two older children, ages 8 and 3. We live in a small town with bumpy brick sidewalks. We are near the beach with a bumpy wooden boardwalk. I spend alot of time trekking across grassy, athletic fields, walking on local erands and schlepping books to and from the library.I decided that I would skip the “lightweight” stroller I’d used in the past because they just didn’t perform well or hold up well for our lifestyle. This is my first “jogger” 3 wheel style. After 6 months, I do not regret my decision.

What I love about this stroller:

- fits our infant carseat perfectly and securely.

- steers effortlessly with one hand.

- swivels on a dime.

- rides smooth as silk over the bumpiest terrain, even the huge grassy athletic field, with little effort, my 8yr old can even push it easily.

- comfortable fit and ride for my 3yr old.

- cost – Sears 119.00 on sale with a coupon.

- large basket holds plenty of books, groceries, etc.

- looks sporty, gender neutral, for baby, as well as my husband.

- tall enough for me 5’10″ and my husband 6’3″.

- 3 deep cups for water, keys, etc. and for baby. (we have removed the steering wheel).

What I’ve learned to live with…

- heavy weight. I was used to a lightweight stroller. In comparison, this weighs a ton. The weight is not a problem for steering, just for loading into my vehicle.

- bulk. We have a Suburban so space is not an issue, but this would have consumed the trunk of my old Jetta.

- changing a tire. my husband had to do this when I got a flat.

- no hand brake. this stroller can “get away from you” and the foot brakes are a must to use on inclines.

Review by Ecaterina Malahina:
Yes it’s a cool straller, but it is NOT a jogger as it is said on the target website!I bought it on Amazon and it was specifically stated in the description and assembling instructions that it is not a jogger. It is roomy and I like music on the go and it is going almost everywhere,I even was able to push it on sand in the water park. However I totally hate to put it in and out of the trunk. It is SOOO HEAVY and huge, even I work out..I have a spacy trunk in my Acura TL and even with this space it’s difficult to put it in, I have to turn the front wheel and I even scratched my bumper once dragging this monster out :-( Also I can’t buckle my 4 months old daughter in it. The safety straps are too loose in their shortest adjustment.I have to put her in the carseat always and it’s too big and bulky. However I get a lot of compliments about such a cool cart.I don’t like to go around in the stores with it, it’s longer than other strallers and I always bump into things, so embarrasiing.I am looking to buy a light weight straller or Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe Stroller , where I can strall my baby without car seat and go with a more compact straller.

Chicco Liteway Stroller – Fuego Reviews

Review by mom to 3:
I bought the Liteway in Fuego from Amazon, it was the best price around. When I go it, I didn’t really like the color. It’s an orangish red, I thought it would be deeper. Should have gone with the topazio… But anyways. I’m a 4th time mom with a lot of stroller experience. I’ve owned all kinds! Too many to list!Liteway Pros

1. A full one-hand recline (really flat!) my 3 month old is very comfortable in this stroller. Easy to change a diaper in this stroller. Definitely usable from birth.

2. Safety harness is awesome, great fit. I like that the snap part is covered, so you can’t pinch your baby’s skin. Also 2 shoulder positons.

3. Stroller height. great for tall parents.

4. Adult cupholder. it’s large, so you can fit more than just waterbottles.

5. Front wheel locks- great for locking straight to go across the grass. Also very easy to remove the front wheels.

6. Leg bunting- It’s attached and stored under the leg rest. It’s not large however and my 3 month old has almost outgrown it. It’s not a feature for kids 7 months or older I think.

7. It’s not too tippy. I can hang a medium size diaper bag (fleurville rerun)on the handles and it doesn’t tip over when the child is not in the stroller.

8. Super easy to fold. (just like Maclaren.) It has an auto lock when you fold it. I have successfully opened and closed it while holding my child in the other hand.

9. So easy to steer! I had to drive it one-handed across a bumpy wooden bridge, and had no problems!

10. It’s narrow enough to fit through tight spots.

11. It’s self-locking! This is a huge deal for me because I can close it and load it into the car one-handed.

Cons.

1. Viewing window in canopy. It’s not covered, just tinted, so it lets in A LOT of light- which happens to fall right on my son’s face. Had I known that the window was not covered, I would not have bought this stroller.

2. Canopy. Size is just OK. Although, when unattached to the back, it does rotate around to the front to block more sun (but the zipper portion dangles in front of my son’s face and annoys him somewhat.

3. Weight- this is not a small stroller. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s not Lite! it’s about 20 lbs. The Pliko P3 feels lighter!

4. Folded size. It really is not that compact. It’s about 1.5 times the size of Maclaren Quest when folded. It takes up a lot of the trunk space in my Yukon behind the 3rd row seat.

5. Really small basket- I thought that it would be bigger. I can only fit my Baby Bjorn classic and 2 vhs videos in there. No WAY can you fit a diaper bag. (so I just hang the bag on the handle instead)

6. no snack tray

All in all this stroller is OK. I’m REALLY dissappointed with the canopy. Why can’t they make a big canopy like the BOB Joggers? For the price, I guess it’s OK. I do wish I had spent the 40 extra dollars and bought a peg perego Aria, Joovy Kooper, or Zooper twist instead…REALLY big canopies on those that rotate to the front…

UPDATE: So now I’ve used the stroller for 2 months and have decided that for the price, this is an above average stroller. The canopy problem I had I fixed with a Kiddopotamus Rayshade for 15 bucks. You can fold the stroller with the Rayshade attached, so I can honestly say that this is a complete stroller now. I’m taking it to Sea World soon and am confident I will be happy. The other strollers I liked were atleast 40 dollars more than this stroller, so I feel that this stroller is a real bargain now. I would change the rating to 4 stars, but I can’t figure out how to do it!

Review by J. Mcdermott:
This stroller is the best!I’m on my third child and with each child I’ve been in search for the perfect stroller…I think I found it!

I always wanted light weight, fully reclining, storage, shade and safety seat belts and this stroller has all of that!

and the color is so great!

it arrived super fast and all i had to do was click on the front wheels and we were ready to roll!

My 6month old baby loved it and falls asleep in it no problem!

it is so easy to maneuver and it really is a smooth ride!

and it folds up really well, doesn’t take up much room at all!

I am very happy with this stroller.

InStep Suburban Swivel Wheel Jogging Stroller Reviews

Review by egghead23:
This stroller handles well on sidewalks in the city, though I wouldn’t recommend it as a straight “jogging stroller” because it does not have a safety tether. (The description says it has both a tether and a hand brake. It has neither.) I live in the city where the sidewalks are often broken and uneven. So far this stroller has handled the terrain pretty well. The swivel-wheel makes it very easy to steer. It’s not too heavy, but it is a little top heavy. I have noticed it has a tendency to tip easily if I am moving across a grassy hill or something like that. The seat seems comfortable, and the harness is one of the best I have seen, a five-point number with an easy one-click release. The sunshade, however, doesn’t really provide too much coverage for the child, and I wish it had a see-through window on top to provide a view of the rider. The space between the seat and the child’s snack tray is kind of tight as well. My toddler fits fine at 18 months, but I am not sure that will be the case in another year.

The handlebar is of average height, and it’s covered with some kind of porous foam material that I am not particularly fond of. It’s probably supposed to absorb moisture or something, but it’s not the most comfortable thing in your hands.

Parent’s tray is okay, fine for keys and a phone, and it holds an small bottle of water tightly. The basket underneath is not particularly roomy, just average.

Overall, a fine stroller for the money, just could use a few minor adjustments.

Review by Irina Goetzke:
I wanted a jogging/all terrain stroller for my (at the time) 18 month old son, and i did lots of research on the less expensive yet functional strollers. my decision came down to the baby trend expedition (retails for around 0) and this one. the baby trend has large back wheels and it reclines fully, and this stroller has same size wheels and it DOES NOT recline flat. i decided on buying this one because my son does not sleep in stroller anyways, he’s too busy exploring the world. the safari was easy to put together, it has lots of great features but nothing over the top. comfortable padding, nice neutral colors, the trigger mechanism workks great when i fold the stroller, the child tray fits all his sippy cups, my parent organizer is roomy enough for keys, cell phone, ipod and a couple other things, plus the bottle holders are not to shallow so far. the swivel wheel locks into place by another trigger-like mechanism so you can jog on a straight surface without having to put extra effort in controlling the wheel. the basket under seat is large enough for a box of diapers (72 huggies, anyone?), your diaper bag and maybe another grocery bag, so its plenty.PROS: easy to assemble, effortless maneuver, large basket, simple to fold, stays folded, compfortable for child, sturdy steel construction but yet it IS lightweight. (im a petite mom and i carry this to up and down flights of stairs daily!), wheel can be locked, nice parent tray, not too bulky. baby and i have taken several bus trips with this stroller!

CONS: no tether ( i dont need one anyways), canopy IS a bit small, i bought the ray shade canopy as well to protect child from the sun, the seat does not recline fully, only about 3/4 of the way (which is plenty for my toddler to rest, he looks very comfortable in it),I HATE the reclining thing they have, its 2 strings, and you pull them towards yourself, and then slide a locking thing up to where you want the back of the seat to be. does give lots of angles to recline, but it’s a royal pain. i prefer the click into place backrest recliners regular strollers have, but jogging strollers want to be more sporty, so they feature the annoying drawstring instead. the stroller does not stand on its own when folded (but it stays closed) also the front wheel wobbled after about 1 week of running, but its easy to fix and now it is smooth as butter again. also, the padding/seat is not removeable for wash unless you are willing to deal with screws and nuts and bolts (i was!)

overall, great stroller, worth buying. rides smoothly and so far no problems anywhere. our son loves it, so we love it too!

Graco Vie4 Stroller, Betsey Reviews

Review by KayDee:
and we’ve had quite a few of them.I recently purchased this stroller and the Graco Metrolite for a trip to Disney World. I chose the Metrolite for my son and the Vie4 for my daughter. I would have given it one star, but I gave it two for the pink fabric.

This stroller does not fold compactly and neatly. It is very large while folded, mainly because the tray (that cannot be easily detached) sticks out from the stroller and takes up a lot of room in the storage area of the vehicle.

The worst part about this stroller is how the seat is slanted forward. My daughter spent an entire week at Disney World being held in her stroller only by the 3-point harness straps. It was very uncomfortable for her and there was no way we could fix it.

I wish we had bought two Metrolites. Those are awesome strollers!

I’d pass on the Vie4, unless you HAVE to have the girly fabric and your child will only be in it for short periods of time. Oh, and you drive an extra large SUV so there’s room for the stroller AND other items in the back.

Review by R.B.H.:
Loved the convenience and ease of opening and closing. Also think it is very mobile and sturdy. Especially loved to find it will “stand’ on its own when folded up. This is such a nice feature when your hands are already full and it doesn’t slide down while your moving it.

Kolcraft Tour Sport Umbrella Stroller with Adjustable Canopy Reviews

Review by Planaria J. Price:
The stroller is just perfect for me, the grandmother with a bad back. It’s easy to open and collapse and I can easily carry it down the stairs in one hand with the baby in the other. He is now 11 months and I know I will be using it for a long time. It’s sturdy and has a nice bag in the back to stow things and the coffee holder is perfect for my keys and cell. The only problem is the canopy really doesn’t shield from the sun…..but all in all it is perfect.
Review by A. Shulman:
We decided to go with this stroller over the Chico which was slightly more expensive. The shade is a pain to keep on moving and after 1 month ours is completely bent out of shape. Good luck trying to restrain an active toddler with a 3 point harness. Pros: it reclines, is easy to fold, and rather light-weight

Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller Frame Reviews

Review by S. Wu:
I did a lot of research on infant car seat strollers and was a bit disillusioned by the two that were out there (the Kolcraft Universal and the Snap-N-Go). Reviews for both items showed concerns in using them with a Graco SnugRide (which was my carseat of choice). While some parents mentioned that they both worked great with their SnugRide car seat, there were just as many that had concerns that the strollers didn’t fit that model of car seat well and worried of the two popping apart. Examining both of them up close, I could understand why there might be mixed reviews considering all the minor adjustments you have to tweak depending on which car seat you are using.I guess this Graco stroller recently came out because I hadn’t seen it before, but as soon as I did, I purchased it. I was amazed by how easy it was to put together. You really don’t need the instruction manual to figure it out, and each of the parts fit together with a very satisfying snap that lets you know that part isn’t going anywhere. And when attaching the car seat, there are several places where it gets latched into place so you know the seat won’t be popping out either.

We’ve used this stroller with our newborn and it is amazing. A week after a C-section, I was able to break it down and throw it into the trunk of our car myself (although carrying the carseat with baby inside was another story). At first I thought the latch that holds the stroller together when it is all folded up seemed a bit flimsy, but I haven’t had any problems with it at all. I also like the fact that you can lock the front wheels into a straight forward position when you are traveling across bumpy pavement. I use this feature often since the sidewalks near where I live are not very even. I also love the extra large basket underneath. Although it is a bit more in cost, I believe this stroller is definitely worth it for the peace of mind. (Please note: this stroller only works with a Graco SnugRide)

Review by Gianna’s Mama:
We have the Laura Ashley travel system and while I love the stroller, it’s heavy as all get out to lift in and out of the car. When you are just running into CVS or doing a quick errand with the baby in tow, it’s really nice to just pop the car seat into the SnugRider frame and go. The SnugRider is light, it folds easily and it’s perfect for a quick transport or even an all day shopping affair! (Please don’t ever risk putting your car seat into a department or grocery store shopping cart!!!) I was able to put it together in about 8 minutes. At first the carseat got stuck on the frame and wouldn’t release easily by simply pressing in the red release handle – I actually had to disengage the release clasp manually and the seat came out fine. I think this was because the padding on the bars that you rest the seat on was so thick when we first got it, it needed some breaking in and now we have no problem removing it with the normal release. What’s also nice is that the handle bar is height adjustable. I’m 5’8 and when the handle is extended in the highest position it’s heaven to push. My mom is only 5’2 and ususally sets the handle in the semi bent position and it’s heaven for her. It rides smoothly and it’s much sturdier and alot more attractive than the Snap and Go and similar models. So, even if you don’t have a Graco car seat, the SnugRider frame will accept any carseat just fine. Definitely worth the extra money if you have it to spend!
