There is a move by Congress  to stop the sale of drop side cribs and it should be in place by 2011.  Meanwhile everyone should know that fixed side cribs, with sides that do not move up and down are safer than drop side cribs. 

An Associated Press story states that at least 32 children have died since 2000 in drop side crib accidents.  Millions of cribs have already been recalled over the past several years.
